Foreword - Why agencies exist in the first place
In our opinion, there are certain situations when partnering with an agency just makes sense. Let me give you some examples:
- You’re short on manpower.
- You’re scaling up. Everything moves fast. Hiring feels risky and time-consuming, and you don’t have the capacity (or experience) to build and manage a team internally—yet. An agency can bridge the gap while you get ready.
- You need specialized skills for a project.
- You’re launching something new, but you rather keep your core team busy with existing priorities.
- You need fresh energy—new perspectives, ideas, and a team that brings momentum.
And what about freelancers? Sure, freelancers are great for smaller projects, but agencies offer something different. A good agency provides a broader knowledge base, more reliability, and the ability to scale seamlessly.
What about us? - The reason we are here
We are not your typical software agency. Over the years, we’ve seen where too many agencies fall short. So, we decided to do things differently—better.
We think, at the heart of any good agency-client relationship, there are two key factors:
- How the product is created 🤖 - the product development process.
- How the collaboration works 🪢 - the client-partner relationship.
Let’s take a closer look at both.
1. 🤖 The product development process 🤖
Agencies typically miss the mark by making the following mistakes:
Often, teams aren’t truly aligned. Instead of collaborating with shared goals and clear ownership, they’re stuck in silos. Communication becomes long and messy, and the work suffers as a result.
Another issue is jumping straight into building features without understanding the problem they’re solving—or who they’re solving it for. This often leads to products no one really needs.
And then there’s the process itself. Buzzwords like “agile” and “lean” sound great, but we’ve seen them applied rigidly, which kills all creative efforts and - funnily - adaptability.
Lastly, in environments with heavy hierarchies, people might not feel empowered to share their ideas. That’s a missed opportunity because great products are built when everyone contributes their expertise and ideas.
How we are different?
We take the opposite approach to everything above. Our focus is on creating small, motivated teams who work closely with you. Our teams aren’t just here to execute; they’re here to collaborate, sharing ownership of your product.
We believe in using agile and lean methodologies, but always adapting to each situation with flexibility and common sense.
We solve real problems, not just deliver features. How will you know it? We start by asking a lot of questions. Before we even think about writing code, we want to understand your market, your users, and your business inside and out.
And most importantly, every voice in our team matters. We’ve built an environment where people feel comfortable speaking up and sharing their ideas. After all, the engineer who spends hours with your product often has great insights, which can give different perspectives to your business. Sounds quite cool, right?
2. 🪢 Client-Agency Relationships 🪢
The second piece of the 🧩 is how we work with you.
We’ve seen too many partnerships get stuck in rigid, formal structures where creativity just can’t thrive. Worse, some focus more on timesheets and profit margins than delivering real value. That’s not how we do things.
How do we build partnerships?
As in any other relationship in life, it all starts with good conversations. We’re not just a service provider—we work as a thought partner. Whether we’re brainstorming ideas with you or diving into focused work, you’ll feel the energy and collaboration.
We also believe in staying lean. That means focusing on what delivers value, we descope as much as needed, rather than adding unnecessary features, or additional application just to generate more profit ourselves.
And while we are a business and aim to be financially sustainable - that is how we can grow and can keep up the quality work - we don’t do profit-maximizing over anything. We won’t compromise quality or swap out your team for cheaper, less experienced people just to cut costs.
We exist to build better products and better partnerships. The kind where it feels good to work together—where your goals become our goals.
