Our first steps - and proposals
- When you reach out to us, your first step usually is to book a call with an experienced product developer: someone who understands your needs from the beginning. There’s no sales pitch here (unless you need one); we get right to your goals and vision.
- If it feels like a good fit for both of us we continue to move forward to give you a detailed proposal. To get there, we’ll need to explore different aspects of your project, so we’ll keep talking to understand your business, project scope, technical constraints, and more. This process often takes the form of a workshop—remote or in-person, whatever suits you best—so we can create an accurate estimate and start getting to know each other.
- Typically, we provide proposals with a project-based estimate or a capped budget, while delivering and invoicing through a monthly or sprint-based time and materials (T&M) method.

Why invest so much time before we’ve signed a deal? We think we need to understand your project deeply enough to be able to engage or give a fair estimation. It’s a mutual commitment: you spend time explaining and brainstorming with us, and we put our best effort into delivering a confident, reliable estimate.
Our ideal clients - to whom we can deliver the greatest value
We like to work with partners with whom we share the same values. In an engagement like this, trust is a key component, and is easier to build when it starts from a similar foundation. Plus, it’s a lot more enjoyable to spend months collaborating when there’s mutual respect, trust, and good company.
One of our core values, transparency, only works when we’re comfortable with each other. That’s when we can communicate openly with no fuss, which in our experience just makes things lighter and easier in an already complex world.
We love working with clients who trust us, see us as partners, engage in conversations, and collaborate with us to develop their mission. We know that this trust must be earned—and that’s exactly what we’re here to do.
Our pls-no clients and projects - no body-leasing
We don’t work with clients representing the opposite of all that we’ve described above. If there’s micromanaging, lack of trust, or a closed-off communication style, it’s just not the right match.
We don’t send individual team member(s) to work in isolation within another company’s team. Instead, we work as a team, where we can maintain quality work according to our values, not leaving anyone behind. When you work with us, you get the shared knowledge and expertise of the entire Apex team.
